The genus Amorphophallus is derived from the terms "amorphos" meaning "formless" and "phallus" meaning "phallus". In its natural habitat it grows in tropical forests characterized by humid climates, where it can easily catch your eye with its enormous size, as some species can reach up to 3 meters in height.
