Amorphophallus napalensis

This succulent native to Nepal is a real jewel that cannot be missing from your collection! It has long green stems, spotted with white and on top of them its elegant umbrella-like leaves bloom which give it a captivating and unique appearance. They are large leaves that divide into small leaflets. The flowers of Amorphophallus are also very particular: they are pale green-yellow in colour, they have a shape that resembles a calyx (it is called spathe) rolled around an ear. The flowers are produced from mature plants. A curiosity, a bulb may occur at the ends of the stems, which resembles abnormal swelling of the plant. This bulb, when the plant is mature - falls off and roots, creating a new seedling of Amorphophallus. This succulent is one of a kind, with its dividing leaves, its majestic flowers and its bizarre way of creating new seedlings!
