Lobivia

Its name is nothing more than a cute anagram of Bolivia - the state, from which most species of this genus come from. They are small cacti, native to the high mountains, which tend to have a single globular or, as they grow, cylindrical stem, surrounded by numerous suckers. They develop horizontally to create a wide green carpet of small bodies, thickly covered with spines. Their real splendor can be admired during warm periods: from the sides of the stems, its beautiful flowers bloom, which have a diameter of up to 10 centimeters, covering the whole plant with the most vivid colors. Its flowering is very abundant, but usually lasts only one day, however you can enjoy them for several springs, considering that they are plants, that will decorate your rooms even for half a century!
