Lobivia lateritia (Cactus)

Globose cactacea, usually solitary but sometimes it can also form clusters at its base. It has a small body of a dark green color, mode up of longitudinal ribs with shallow tubercles. White radial thorns wrapping around the stem emerge from its large, round and slightly woolly areoles, and so do the central amber colored spines of varying lengths, facing outwards or upwards. Between spring and summer, typical huge funnel-shaped inflorescences bloom along the sides of the stem, much appreciated for their particular shades which, from the pale yellow of the throat, flows into a delicate red on the petals.
