Huernia mccoyi

This succulent was discovered by the well-known collector Tom McCoy in 2000 in the mountains of Jabal Raymah at an altitude of 1130 m; in 2003 Darrel Plowes describes it as Huernia mccoy. It has long stems, fleshy and green, equipped with protruding and serrated tubercles. With the growth the epidermis assumes reddish colors. Its beautiful flowers bloom near the base of the stems and are highly appreciated for their particular appearance: they have a starry shape; pale yellow with dark red-burgundy stripes that give it a very eye-catching appearance.
