The variegated shape of this cactus has yellowish or pale yellow streaks where there is a lack of chlorophyll; such streaks will never be identical in different plants making each of them unique in its kind and for this reason highly sought after collectors. In the normal form E. shaviana is a succulent with a very particular appearance, in which the typical rosette shape is modified by an extremely rare course of the foliage: it has fleshy smooth, flat and elongated leaves, with unusually ruffled edges, curved and wavy, which make it really unique! It has a blue-greyish color, which occasionally, depending on sun exposure, is enriched with pinkish or reddish shades, especially on the edges. To complete the extremely scenic effect, this succulent is completely covered by a whitish plum, which protects it from intense sunlight, allowing it to be resistant and fascinating at the same time!
