The variegated shape of this succulent has yellowish or lighter spots in the exact points of the epidermis where there is a lack of chlorophyll; these stains are never identical in different plants and make each of them unique in its kind and for this reason much appreciated by collectors around the world. In its normal form it is a rosette-shaped succulent, with fleshy gray-green leaves, sometimes glaucous. The foliage has lanceolate shape, deeply pointed at the apex (hence the name of the species 'cuspidata'), slightly covered by a whitish patina that gives it a rather dusty appearance. After a prolonged sun exposure this wonderful succulent takes on very particular red shades.
