Othonna capensis ruby necklace (Succulents)

A flashy succulent, with unique and pleasantly ornamental characteristics. It presents extremely thin and long rubin tinted stems that tend to fall in beautiful purple cascades, perfect to decorate hanging pots and shelves. Its leaves are quite small and fleshy, pointed and shaped in a form that resembles a bean. A thing that surely catches the attention is the coloration of the epidermis, that ranges from a vibrant green to a bright purple-burgundy, till a reddish-purple when largely exposed to sunlight. The whole look is delicate but gaudy at the same time, like a marvelous rubin pendants necklace, to the point of giving it the name of “ruby necklace”. Another characteristic that makes this succulent largely appreciated is not to have a specific blooming period, but blooming abundantly during the whole year with the most original chromatic contrast between the purple of the plant anche the yellow of its daisy shaped flowers.
