Pilosocereus leucocephalus f. crested variegated (Cactus)

P. leucocephalus in its crested and variegated form represents an exemplar of cactaceae very appreciated for its appearance: on the one hand it has the fan shape due to the cresting ; on the other hand the spots of lighter shades in places where there is a lack of chlorophyll , characteristic of the variegated form creating, overall, a very particular and unique plant, very sought after by collectors around the world. In its normal form it is a fast-growing columnar cactus, appreciated for its wonderful glaucous blue color. It produces a robust stem with 7-9 rounded ribs, on which very fluffy areolas are formed, arranged at a distance of 1-1,5 cm from each other. Upwards the areoles are covered by a thick whitish down, typical of the genus Pilosocereus. It has numerous yellowish spines that, with age, become lighter. In summer, its bell-shaped flowers bloom in a color that varies from white to pink, from purple to brownish.
