Commonly called "rose cactus" in reference to its wonderful flowers, it is a cactacea with a decidedly particular appearance, at first glance very similar to a succulent with a shrubby character, capable of reaching 4 meters in height in nature. It consists of slender woody and branched stems, often enriched with thorns, from which soft elliptical and pointed leaves, up to 20 cm long, grow. The epidermis, of a lively emerald green, is slightly furrowed by veins on the upper surface and is extremely shiny and smooth. At the end of summer, the charm of Pereskia is further accentuated by clusters of large pink flowers with a showy yellow center, extremely elegant and refined.
