Copiapoa echinoides f. variegated (Cactus)

The variegated shape of this cactus presents the typical lighter areas in the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent: these characteristics will never be the same from one plant to another, therefore each exemplar will be absolutely unique and, for this reason, highly sought after by collectors. In its normal form it is a rare cactus plant that tufts with time. Its stem varies from green to dark green, has a globose shape, slightly depressed at the apex, with tuberculate ribs. From its fluffy areoles grow black spines, long and rigid that, with time, assume a grayish color and completely cover the stem. The flowering takes place during the whole summer, generating bright yellow apical flowers.
