Titanopsis calcarea f. variegated

T. calcarea in its variegated form represents an exemplar with a unique look, thanks to its variegation; the characteristic yellow zones in the points where the chlorophyll is absent, make each exemplar different from the other, reason why each plant is unique and very sought after by collectors. Its name comes from the Greek "titanos" which means calcareous rock and "opsis", that is similar, because of its resemblance to small calcareous rocks; in nature this characteristic helps the plant to camouflage in the surrounding environment. This beautiful succulent grey or bluish green grows in the shape of a rosette. Its fleshy leaves at the tips are covered by many wart-like protuberances. During the flowering period, in late autumn you can admire its beautiful yellow-orange daisy flowers.
