Tephrocactus geometricus f. monstrous

The name of this beautiful plant comes from the Greek 'γεωμετρία' which means 'geometry', in fact its green-bluish colored stem has a ball shape and over time creates spherical branches. In the monstrous form has some anomalies such as asymmetries or lack of thorns that make the specimen unique and highly sought after by collectors. With prolonged exposure to the sun or fresh autumn can assume a purple color. From the upper areolas are born sparse and short thorns of color ranging from white to black, curved down. Its flowers bloom at the apex of the stem and have colors ranging from ianc to pink with a darker central line.
