Columnar cacti with a rather ramified structure, furrowed by marked ribs on which areoles with long and very robust spines are found. These are very slow growing plants, but over time they can reach even 10 meters in height! The variegated shape of this cactus has clearer areas at the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent; such areas are never the same from one plant to another, therefore each exemplar is absolutely unique, never identical to another and for this extremely sought after by collectors! Stetsonia is adorned with large and showy white funnel-shaped flowers, up to 15 cm, which open at night and give off unmistakable scents.
