Stetsonia coryne f. crestata

It is a real collector's jewel, as rare as extremely captivating for the combination of the extravagant shape and its long and ferocious sturdy spines! There are very few specimens grown in the nursery, and this is one of the reasons why it is extremely sought after by green collectors from all over the world, as well as for the imposing sizes it can reach (sometimes even up to 3 m in height!). Due to its very particular asymmetrical fan shape it resembles an olive green sculpture, in which the three-dimensional ribs create a profoundly harmonious pattern. This elegant look contrasts nicely with the long stiff and thick spines that fade in color from creamy white to black at the tips.
