Sinningia sellowii

This exemplar of succulent caudiciform is very appreciated by collectors for its appearance. Audex stores water and nutrients, helping the plant to survive high temperatures and droughts. Its leaves emerge from long green stems, have an oval shape and are deep green in color. They have on the surface ribs and rough reliefs to the touch and are covered by a very short hair almost transparent that gives it a particular and shiny. The flowers of S. sellowii are red-orange or yellow and have a tubular shape. The name of this species honors the German botanist Friedrich Sellow.
