Sinningia brasiliensis

This tropical plant is named after university professor of botany Wilhelm Sinning. S. brasiliensis has a lignified tuber, which grows mostly underground, to ensure the plant’s survival during periods of drought. From its tuber depart the green leaves, ovoid and with visible ribs. All species of Sinningia have in common the majesty of their inflorescences, consisting of large bell-shaped flowers. S. brasiliensis will give us beautiful yellowish flowers, with very particular purple spots and shades, with velvety and thick petals. They adapt well to bright enclosed and sheltered places, so they are perfect for enriching your homes and your offices with vivacity and good humor!
