Polaskia chende f. crestata

The crested shape of this cactaceae has the typical fan shape, extremely compact and fleshy, which makes each exemplar absolutely unique, never identical to another and for this reason very appreciated by collectors. In its normal form it is a majestic and solemn plant, which in nature can reach up to 20 meters in height! It has rather ample and symmetrical longitudinal ribs, along which, from small roundish areolas, emerge sparse yellowish thorns which, with the growth of the plant, tend to become grey; well straight, thin and needle-like. Its spines are rather long and develop in multiple directions, assuming almost a sort of star shape.
