Pleiospilos compactus

It is a dwarf succulent, generally consisting of one or two pairs of coupled leaves, which do not grow very tall, but tend to form large horizontal carpets. Its foliage is fleshy and takes on quite variable shapes: from hemispherical to long and narrow, often spotted in shades of greyish-green, which gives it an almost rocky appearance. Depending on the sun exposure, the leaves often change the color into pinkish shades and have very ornamental dark green dots. It is a plant, that tends to grow in autumn and winter, while it goes into dormancy, when temperatures rise. However, it is very easy to grow and is extremely capable of adapting to the most varied climatic and environmental conditions.
