Description:

Also called Ornithogallo. It is a small bulbous plant, highly appreciated by succulent lovers, because of its spherical shape and the particular appearance of the narrow, elongated and hairy leaves. At the apex of the long peduncles, it blooms with bright white flowers with yellow filaments. Its beautiful flower is often used for creating extraordinary bouquets.

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 5 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately and only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water it once a week in spring and summer, reduce it to once every two months in autumn and to suspend it completely in winter.

A well-draining and at the same time nourishing soil is an optimal solution. A mix of 60% of peat and 40% of inert materials is a perfect combination.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
