Description:

Wonderful succulent considered part of the hyacinth family since it consists of a globe bulb, only partially exposed above the ground, covered by a whitish, almost paper layer that protects it and keeps it vital even during the vegetative rest season. From the bulb there is a tuft of needle-like leaves of a beautiful emerald green, extremely thin and flexible just like a tuft of grass; the epidermis is covered by a veiled protective layer of whitish down, which makes the plant almost silvery in the sun. From the center of the foliage grows a long stem, at the apex of which blooms a real floral spike of microscopic and elegant whitish inflorescences.

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 5 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately and only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water it once a week in spring and summer, reduce it to once every two months in autumn and to suspend it completely in winter.

A well-draining and at the same time nourishing soil is an optimal solution. A mix of 60% of peat and 40% of inert materials is a perfect combination.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
