Matucana winteriana

Wild cactus consisting of a globular body which tends to become slightly cylindrical with growth. Equipped with numerous elongated and narrow tubercles of a beautiful light green, it has whitish rounded areoles, from which slender cream-colored radial spines branch off, needle-like and arranged to wrap the stem, together with longer central spines, typically pointing upwards and of a pale yellow that fades at the tip into a dark and intense brown. The body of the cactacea is completely covered by thorns, for an extremely ferocious and wild overall effect, perfect for bringing a breath of desert charm to your environments!
