Mangave ‘Red wing’

Succulent that certainly does not go unnoticed, M. 'Red wing' is a wonderful hybrid, that is a species not present in nature but obtained in nursery from the crossing between species belonging to even two different genera, Manfreda and Agave. It has the typical ample rosette disposition which can reach remarkable dimensions; it is formed by rigid and lanceolate leaves, very long, concave and tending to assume an arcuate shape with the growth. The epidermis assumes a tonality that, from the green of the young leaves, becomes of an intense burgundy-red and creates a strong contrast with the sparse soft teeth of whitish color that dot the margins. The exemplar manages wonderfully to combine the majestic and imposing form of Agave with the particular colors of Manfreda, generating an absolutely unique plant, perfect to bring into your environments a solemn and majestic charm without comparison!
