Mangave 'Praying hands'

Succulent with a decidedly fascinating and distinctive appearance, not found in nature but obtained by Hans Hansen by crossing Agave ocahuii and Mangave 'Bloodspot' to obtain a peculiarity of shape, appearance and colouration that will definitely not go unnoticed! Arranged in the typical tightly compact rosette, M. 'Praying hands' has dark green, fleshy, strongly pointed leaves at the apex, adorned with well-delineated reddish-burgundy margins that culminate in stiff, pronounced apical spines. The entire rosette retains a closed, very compact appearance, tending to grow upwards and tightening almost to a point at the top: its original habit, reminiscent of 'praying hands', gives rise to the species' friendly name. Very resistant to rather extreme environments and climates, this hybrid has a slow growth rate, but the visual effect of its combination of shapes and colours is definitely worth the wait!
