Kalanchoe marmorata

The name of the species comes from the Latin and refers to the look of the foliage with streaks similar to those of the marble. It is a perennial succulent with usually erect posture, formed by fleshy stems that ramify at the base and are enriched by flat and broad leaves similar to a spoonful, rather ample. The epidermis assumes a clear silvery hue, almost pinstriped, equipped with showy streaks of a very intense brownish-violet that accentuates along both foliar surfaces when the plant is abundantly exposed to sunlight. To complete the sculptural appearance of the plant we think peculiar jagged and asymmetrical margins that seem almost to resume the pattern of the maculature of the epidermis, for an ornamental effect really without comparison!
