The name of the species comes from Tanganyika, the old name of Tanzania, the native place of the plant. It has long, rather thin and scarcely branched stems, which tend to crawl on the ground or cascade down from wonderful hanging baskets, giving rooms a touch of originality and style. The stems are furrowed by flat and elongated tubercles, from which soft and sparse denticles protrude, especially on young stems. Their appearance changes when they bloom, thanks to its truly unique inflorescences: elongated five-pointed flowers, of a light color, dotted with burgundy and adorned with a dark red central ring, raised and extremely shiny, which pleasantly contrasts with the opaque down of the petals. It is a succulent that does not require a lot of attention and adapts easily to the environment, giving it a unique touch of exoticism!
