Delicious succulent that does not exceed 10-15 cm in height, with stems that grow prostrating towards the ground and root easily. Each stem of light green tone, with a diameter of a few cm, has tight and well marked longitudinal ribs, equipped with prominent soft teeth. H. lodarensis is undoubtedly one of the species with the most beautiful flowering of the whole genus: its large five-pointed flowers are generally cream-colored, enriched by reddish spots and a darker red-burgundy hue in the central part.
