Beautiful exemplar of succulent first discovered by John Lavranos in 1979 in northern Somalia, calling it H. concinna. In 1986, Leach named the species H. formosa. It has very fleshy stems, of green color and equipped with 4 vertical and tuberculate ribs. The highlight of the plant are its starry-shaped flowers. with pale yellow petals and dotted with purple or reddish, dots and spots starting from the center of the flower, which is totally purple color, to expand towards the edges of the petals. The line of the edge of the petals is also purple.
