Known by a more correct name of 'Duvalia corderoyi', it is a small succulent plant with a creeping habit. It is characterized by small but fleshy cylindrical stems with conical protuberances and a white tip; these stems are fragile and detach easily, creating new roots of their own and thus generating new seedlings. Flowering occurs in late summer and autumn, blooming with very particular red flowers, similar in shape to starfish, with the center rich in thin purple pistils, almost like a down.
