Huernia blyderiverensis

Small perennial succulent plant that takes its name from the place where it was discovered in 1975, which is the Blyde river canyon in South Africa. Its greenish gray cylindrical stems have an erect posture with small, well pronounced tubercles and a pale thorn on the tips. It is a highly sought-after plant for its unique starry shaped flowers, cream-colored with their inner part streaked with red.
