The name of the plant derives from the nectar that its flowers produce, in fact "mellis" means "honeydew" and "fluo" means "flow". It is a climbing plant, with ovate fleshy and shiny dark green leaves. It rarely blooms, but when it happens, we can admire its beautiful and very particular flowers, gathered in clusters, which have a central crown made of 5 rounded petals of a color that fades from pink-purple to creamy white towards the apex; the appearance of the flower is made even more special by a velvet cushion of a color that can vary from orange to pink. It is one of the easiest plants to grow, therefore also ideal for beginners.
