This perennial succulent plant is commonly called "wax plant" or "wax flower", appreciated for its versatility, perfect for adorning both houses and offices. Its stems have an erect, climbing, shrubby habit, up to ten meters high. It is highly appreciated for its ovate, glossy leaves and for its very particular white flowers of a waxy appearance, as well as for the fact, that each flower resembles a five-pointed star, which forms a cluster of flowers, that is also arranged in the shape of a star. Flowering can occur at any time of the year, generating flowers with an intense aroma, that bloom for about a week.

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sun rays, especially during the hottest hours of the day, as long as they might burn the leaves.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 10 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
It is advisable to always keep the soil slightly moist, never dry. Beware of stagnant water that could cause rotting.
The best soil is a well draining one, for example formed by a mixture of peat and pumice so that the water does not stagnate.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
