Haemanthus multiflorus

Also known as “Scadoxus multiflorus”. It is a deciduous bulbous plant (it loses its leaves during the dormant period). Its green leaves, which grow from long central stems, have a lanceolate shape and wavy edges, and develop after the inflorescence. Its flowering is spectacular and generates, only once a year during summer, an orange-red sphere, made up of numerous starry flowers. This floral composition, also called "blood lily", gives the plant its high ornamental value.
