Gymnocactus knuthianus

Extremely rare cactus that in the wild can only be found in some Mexican forests and deserts, consisting of a globular body that does not exceed 6-7 cm in diameter, but takes on shades of a beautiful bright green with rather protruding conical tubercles. At the top of those there are rounded whitish areoles (even woolly at a young age), from which white, long, thin and not perfectly straight radial thorns emerge, which tend to envelop the body of the cactus until they touch each other. Even before spring begins, this rare plant will delight you with its beautiful fuchsia flowers that reach a considerable size compared to the stem.
