This beautiful exemplar of succulent is not present in nature but created in nurseries by the union of Gasteria verrucosa and Aloe vera. It has a rosette arrangement with lanceolate and fleshy leaves, rigid and dotted by three-dimensional papillae. The epidermis is of a pleasant emerald green with a dotted surface and with light green streaks that, together with the markedly lighter margins, give the plant a very special look. The overall effect is extremely attractive, made even more special by its remarkable ability to change color: G. 'Spirit of 88', in fact, tends to fade towards a brownish color, almost black but enriched by greyish streaks, depending on the seasons and the sun exposure, for an always innovative and visually striking!
