Escobaria tuberculosa

This cactus has a cylindrical shape slightly swollen on the sides, an emerald green body, with conical tubercles among which, in young plants, there is a light white fluff which tend to disappear with age. From small round areolas emerge thick whitish radial spines, straight and arranged in a circular pattern, and two or three reddish-brown central spines facing outwards, which tend to elongate at the top and head upwards. Right in the middle of those, large pink flowers with pleasant multi-layered petals will blossom in summer!
