Escobaria strobiliformis

Small cactacea with a globular habit that over time tends to clump at the base. Its light green stem has numerous, well pronounced tubercles arranged in a spiral shape, at the top of which fluffy white areoles form. The white radial thorns completely envelops its skin, while the central ones are thicker and reddish on the tips. Flowering occurs in the apical part of the plant, generating flowers ranging from pure white to bright red.
