Description:

Beautiful exemplar of low-growing cactus that expands horizontally branching. The globose stem, of intense green colour, tends over time to become cylindrical and is entirely covered by thorns. The tubercles are very marked and elongated; on them we find numerous woolly white areoles from which the spines come out. We find, in fact, a multitude of radial thorns, thin and long, of white colour; on the contrary, the centrals are less thick but more robust, of white colour and some with pinkish or dark tips. E. sneedii blooms in spring, seducing with its beautiful pale pink flowers to which is added the fuchsia of the midline, giving the petals of this plant a truly unique and distinctive look.

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.

It is preferable to keep it at temperatures not below 0°C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer and suspend watering completely in autumn and winter.

The perfect soil is a highly draining and porous one, for example a mixture of peat and pumice so that it does not stagnate the water.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
