Escobaria hesteri

Beautiful small cactus, native to Texas. The stem is globose and glaucous green in colour with tubercles. Its spines emerge from the downy areoles, are thin and whitish in colour. Its flowers bloom at the apex of the stem with delicate, bright purple petals.
