Escobaria dasyacantha

The name of this species comes from the Greek and literally means " insipid spine", referring to its strongly wild look. It is a wonderful cylindrical cactus, with dark green epidermis equipped with elongated conical tubercles, ending in white roundish areoles from which emerge peculiar short and thin spines. They are rranged radially to completely cover the stem with their candid shade, with vaguely pinkish tips. Between spring and summer you can admire a beautiful crown at the top of E. dasyacantha, consisting of small and delicate pink flowers with central brown stripes, absolutely original and easy to notice!
