It is a succulent with very variable characteristics, consisting of a stem, that tends to become woody, as it grows, on which a wonderful, generally solitary rosette of large long and lanceolate leaves grows, slightly upwards. It takes on a particular glaucous green color, basically opaque, which depending on the variety is tinged with extravagant purple or reddish shades. In spring, the charm of this plant is amplified by long red stems, from which small pink or light yellow flowers bloom, which contribute to giving delicacy and elegance to this beloved succulent.
