Dorstenia zanzibarica

Its name derives from one of its native islands: Zanzibar island. It is a rare succulent plant with a green or brown caudex from where numerous fleshy stems are born. Over time, this magnificent plant can reach up to 50 cm in height. Its light green leaves can take on different shapes: from long, narrow and pointed to oval and serrated at the edges. It is highly appreciated by green collectors from all over the world for its very particular flower. The inflorescence is flat and generally fourfold, inside it has a rough texture since it contains many tiny green or yellow flowers. Along the edges of the inflorescence you can see long ''tentacles'' that make this plant unique and special.
