Description:

Extremely innovative succulent, which tends with growth to give life to multiple stems united at the base and facing upwards; each stem does not exceed 20 cm in height, maintaining a very small diameter and distinguishing itself already at first sight for peculiar whitish foliar scars that are arranged in a spiral along the entire height and give us a decidedly unique appearance. At the apex of each stem develops a crown of long leaves and strongly curled along the margins, which create with the stems an effect similar to that of a real palm. D. lavrani is the only species belonging to the genus to be dioecious, in which that is, the male and female flowers bloom on separate plants. The charm and composure of the bushes that will give life will embellish locations with different styles, giving it a decidedly original touch!

Plant care:

They grow well in dimness but require a lot of undirected light.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 15 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately, only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water it once a week in spring and summer, reduce watering to once every two months in autumn and to suspend it completely in winter.

The best soil is a well draining one, for example formed by a mix of peat and pumice so that water does not stagnate.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
