Discocactus buenekeri

This cactus specimen native to the tropical forests of Brazil is much appreciated for its particular appearance. The globose stem is of light green/green colour and is equipped with tuberculate ribs above which are the white and fluffy areas. From the latter come out its thorns arranged in rays, which are white and slightly curved towards the stem. With the passage of time at the apex of the plant we notice a white and thick fluff that increases with the growth of the plant. During the flowering season, in the period between April to August, D. buenekeri gives us white daisies that bloom at the apex of the stem .
