Dinteranthus inexpectatus

It is a small succulent that has an appearance very similar to pebbles, with which it camouflages itself in the desert areas of its origin. Usually only one pair of very fleshy leaves is presented, which often, especially in dry periods, remain closed to form some sort of a small sphere, while during the flowering period they open up to leave space, in the center, for lively bright yellow inflorescences, which pleasantly contrast with the greyish, almost white, color of the plant. They are small succulents, that are highly appreciated and sought after by green collectors for their extremely peculiar shape and for their great resistance to drought!
