Denmoza rhodacantha f. variegata

The variegated shape of this cactacea has the typical yellow areas in the exact points where chlorophyll is absent: these streaks will never be the same from one plant to another, therefore each specimen will be absolutely unique and, for this reason, strongly sought after by lovers of cactus . It is a slow-growing, solitary, globular cactus that can form tufts over time. Its stem, light green in color and slightly concave at the apex, has multiple well-furrowed ribs, equipped with numerous elongated and lignified areoles with a greyish-white color. The reddish and rigid spines are long and slightly curved. Flowering occurs only on large specimens, generating tubular shaped flowers of a beautiful bright scarlet red.
