Description:
A large cactacea plant of a shrubby habit that tends to branch off over time. It has greyish-green stems of a strongly tuberculated cylindrical shape, from which numerous needle-like spines, of a white-yellowish color, emerge. Flowering occurs in the summer, blooming with many large cup-shaped purple-magenta flowers (rarely pink).
