Cylindropuntia acanthocarpa Mead View, Az

It is a cactacea plant of a shrubby habit with small cylindrical branches, which over time can reach quite large dimensions. Its stem has numerous well-defined tubercles, with white downy areoles at the end, from which multiple long and flat needle-like spines protrude. Flowering occurs from May to June, blooming with beautiful and large orange-yellow flowers along the stems.
