Coryphantha tripugionacantha

Its name indicates the characteristic, that helps to distinguish it from other species at first sight: it literally means "three daggers spines", to identify the three robust central black-greyish spines, curved towards the body. It is a globular solitary cactus, slightly depressed at the apex, covered with triangular and flat tubercles and areoles, rich in down, which increases at the apex, where showy yellow flowers usually bloom. Its flowers are very delicate and extremely shiny, similar to silk.
