Succulent that does not exceed a few centimeters in height but tends to grow in rather abundant tufts; each head is formed by roundish shape and strongly flattened, almost truncated, similar to a sort of disk. The epidermis assumes a very light shade, of a light green pleasantly enriched by slightly darker three-dimensional dots. In autumn large and delicate flowers of an elegant white color come out from the center of the "disc". Like all the species belonging to the genus Conophytum, it is amazing to notice its extreme adaptability: in fact, this miniature succulent tends to store remarkable quantities of water in its massive leaves, to be exploited during the drought periods; is also able to reduce its volume and hide in the ground when it is in lack of water supply!
